Childhood cancer changes lives. So does camp. And so can you.

This page is in Honour of Ellery Rose Clark (2014-2019).

Ellery was many things: a rainbow-enthusiast, a crafter, a sweet and feisty child who truly marched to the beat of her own drum. She was the first born child to parents Ariane and Ian, and big sister to twins Rory and Ava. Ellery was beloved by so many in her community and her inimitable spirit and joy continue to influence all that knew her.

As she underwent treatment for an extremely rare form of cancer in her head and neck called Alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma (which affects as few as 12 people in Canada a year), she continued to demonstrate incredible perseverance.

A diagnosis of childhood cancer changes life in an instant.

Since Ellery's diagnosis in 2019, Camp Fire Circle has been a positive and important experience for the Clark family. Whether it is in a hospital setting, in the community, online or at overnight camp, Camp Fire Circle is a place where curiosity and confidence, bravery and acceptance come to play, and healing through happiness is the point. In this setting, kids and families can be together, at no cost to them.

Your support ensures that Campfire Circle's programs continue to reach 1,500+ kids and their families every year. Your gift will make life-changing experiences possible.

Thank you for continuing to spread joy, love and light. That was Ellery's gift to all of us.
