Summer camp is a special place for kids.  For my grandfather, Barry Cohen, cherished summer camp experiences were only made possible through the community support provided for children who could not otherwise afford to attend camp.

Watching Barry battle cancer this past year made me determined to do something meaningful in his memory.  With my 18th birthday approaching, I decided to honour my Papa by supporting Campfire Circle, an incredible organization that provides overnight camp experiences for kids diagnosed with childhood cancer.

A diagnosis of childhood cancer changes life in an instant.  Simple childhood joys like friendships, birthday parties, or sports teams are left behind due to medical appointments, hospital stays, and long absences from school.

Campfire Circle fills the void, creating safe spaces for kids to be kids at no cost to them. Because Campfire Circle's overnight camp provides all the needed medical support, such as chemotherapy and tranfusions, each "campership" requires significant funding. For many kids, it's the one week a year that they are out of the hospital being kids, along with others who are going through similar challenges. 

Please help me mark my 18th birthday and reach my goal of raising $10,000 in memory of my Papa, Barry. This will enable 4 campers battling childhood cancer the opportunity to attend summer camp this year.
