Childhood cancer changes lives. So does camp. And so can you.

John was a generous and kind soul who always thought of others first.

John spent decades supporting kids and parents affected by childhood cancer in many ways. Through his work with OPACC (Ontario Parents Advocating for Children with Cancer) he helped hundreds of parents cope, and provide them with a supportive and loving network of families who understand. He was an advocate for childhood cancer and an advocate for camp. He supported the organization as a donor, fundraiser and has referred many camper families to our programs. John was a bereaved parent himself, and his kids Peter and Stefania spent years attending camp. They are both dedicated volunteers, along with John’s wife Maria. He will be greatly missed by his Campfire Circle families who all meant very much to him and his co-workers at Home Depot.

He treasured his time with his family and looked forward to long road trips and being together. John has left behind a legacy of support and giving to people in need. He was a kind and generous person who has left a positive mark on the cancer community.

We will miss him greatly.
