Give the gift of camp to kids affected by childhood cancer
Josh unexpectedly passed at home on October 8, 2017. He was a loving husband and incredible father, and will be sorely missed by everyone he met and had the opportunity to make laugh. Josh was very fond of cottage country, and believed summer camp was an important experience for every child to build lasting memories, develop independence, and make lifelong friends. He would have hated to see children who were battling disease miss out on this experience, and would have wanted to give them a break from the hardships of illness in order to enjoy being a kid.
Healing through happiness at Campfire Circle
Campfire Circle has offered healing through happiness for thousands of kids and families affected by childhood cancer since 1983. It’s where kids can be kids, and families can be families—engaging in camp-inspired community, in-hospital, and overnight camp programs, at no cost to them. As a privately funded organization, Campfire Circle makes thousands of life-changing experiences possible for Campers throughout the year, all across Ontario.
