I Am Riding Again for Campfire Circle- Take 4!

Dear Family, Friends , Loyal Clients and Supporters:

This has been an interesting lead in to our event. You may notice the change in the name of the ride. Gone is R2//NYC.  The branding has changed to indicate WHO we are riding for, not WHERE we are riding to, which has allowed us the flexibility to remain in Canada and not always be tied to NYC.

We are riding this year from Toronto to Quebec City!!! After many weeks of thoughtful discussions, weighing the risks and benefits and focusing on the WHY vs the WHERE, our organization has decided to stay in Canada. To many of us involved, given the current state of the world,  this made a lot of sense. To some, the challenge of saying "I rode to NYC", was the goal.

To me, I certainly felt that in my first year. However, why do I come back? I come back to help raise critical funds for children and their families battling cancer and other serious illness. In fact this year, due to our past fundraising (and we hit a collective 1 MILLION DOLLARS last year), we have helped Campfire Circle become the first camp to treat children with Diabetes. The first camp to bring onsite dialysis, so they can be delivered insulin, and then immediately go and be kids in all the activities at camp.

This can not be done without your help!

I also return to experience the comraderie of my fellow cyclists and the support and amazing people at Campfire Circle. It's a full day of immersive programming and connecting on top of of the riding.

We are still riding an epic distance , albeit climbing less hills, but seeing new sites, making new friends and experiencing the amazing event that brings us so close to our WHY.

Please help me help them. I have been so fortunate to have contributed close to $50,000 in my three years participating. I can't wait to help even more. And I couldn't do it without your help.

Together, we can reach more kids and families across Ontario.

Join the circle and donate to my #R4CampfireCircle—help deliver healing through happiness!

Healing through happiness at Campfire Circle

Help deliver healing through happiness to kids with cancer or serious illness and their families.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer or serious illness, it impacts the whole family. Kids miss out on simple childhood joys, household incomes are often cut in half as caregivers take on the full-time responsibility of caring for a sick child, and families struggle to make time for special experiences.

When you donate to Campfire Circle you are supporting in-hospital, community and overnight camp programs that create opportunities for children to build friendships and social skills, develop self-confidence and resiliency, and improve their overall well-being. Through play-based experiences, you are helping empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis.

With your support, we can continue to offer our programs at no cost to families and grow our circle of care to provide additional play-based experiences across all four paediatric hospitals, and improve our medically supported and accessible overnight camps so that every eligible child can benefit from our innovative and impactful programs.

Thank you for helping to build a world where children thrive and families heal.
