You bet I'm in.
As many of you are aware, in 2024, I participated in R2//NYC to raise funds for Campfire Circle, a privately funded charity for kids with cancer and other serious illnesses. To say this was an unforgettable experience would be an understatement. The ride was incredible and the Cause drove me to push my limits in ways I never imagined possible. Well, despite the physical and emotional toll this took on me, I am going back...with absolute joy, grit and determination!!!!

R2//NYC is now R4//Campfire Circle...THIS is my why. Campfire Circle gives kids the opportunity to hang out with friends and just be kids. Camp brings much-needed joy to kids with cancer or serious illness and their families. That’s why I’m fundraising for Campfire Circle. Through its in-hospital, community and overnight camp programs, Campfire Circle creates opportunities year-round for kids to build friendships and social skills, develop self-confidence and resiliency, and improve their overall well-being.
The ride will be just over 800kms and 5000m of elevation, in 5 days.
Yes, it will be challenging, but even moreso, it will be rewarding, knowing that I am going to make a difference in the lives of a few children.
I am also volunteering at Camp this year, at both Rainbow Lake and Muskoka. I want to meet these incredibly resilient kids; I feel I have a lot to learn from them about living live to the fullest. I want to be in their environment. I want to be surrounded by them. I want to play a part, albeit small, in bringing some fun into their lives.
Please help me, help them. Your donation will help raise funds for Campfire Circle to give kids the chance to just be kids, regardless of their medical diagnosis.

Help deliver healing through happiness to kids with cancer or serious illness and their families.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer or serious illness, it impacts the whole family. Kids miss out on simple childhood joys, household incomes are often cut in half as caregivers take on the full-time responsibility of caring for a sick child, and families struggle to make time for special experiences.
When you donate to Campfire Circle you are supporting in-hospital, community and overnight camp programs that create opportunities for children to build friendships and social skills, develop self-confidence and resiliency, and improve their overall well-being. Through play-based experiences, you are helping empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis.
With your support, we can continue to offer our programs at no cost to families and grow our circle of care to provide additional play-based experiences across all four paediatric hospitals, and improve our medically supported and accessible overnight camps so that every eligible child can benefit from our innovative and impactful programs.
