Raising cash for children with cancer and chronic disease to have fun at camp!

We Ride for Campfire Circle
This will my 4th ride to NYC for Campfire Circle. We ride 850kms starting off with a Police escort out of downtown Toronto, headed out to Buffalo NY (riding over the Peace Bridge from Canada to the USA). After 4 more days riding through Up State New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, we arrive, into Times Square, NYC.
This is such an amazing organization. Its mission is to offer the unique time that is 'Camp' to children who have cancer and other serious illnesses, and whose childhoods have been, robbed of what it means to just be a kid having fun.
The children attend camp free of charge, and with no support from the government. Sometimes their families attend (who also need to have a little fun). Campers, volunteer councillors, and staff alike form bonds of deep friendship which mean many return, even when they have been able to be illness free.
We are fortunate to spend our summers very close to Campfire Circle Muskoka, and visit the camp frequently on its open days and other social events. It really is the most special place and I hope you can spare a few bucks to help it stay special and take in as many kids as possible.
Join the circle and donate to my #R2NYC—help deliver healing through happiness!
Healing through happiness at Campfire Circle
Help deliver healing through happiness to kids with cancer or serious illness and their families.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer or serious illness, it impacts the whole family. Kids miss out on simple childhood joys, household incomes are often cut in half as caregivers take on the full-time responsibility of caring for a sick child, and families struggle to make time for special experiences.
When you donate to Campfire Circle you are supporting in-hospital, community and overnight camp programs that create opportunities for children to build friendships and social skills, develop self-confidence and resiliency, and improve their overall well-being. Through play-based experiences, you are helping empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis.
With your support, we can continue to offer our programs at no cost to families and grow our circle of care to provide additional play-based experiences across all four paediatric hospitals, and improve our medically supported and accessible overnight camps so that every eligible child can benefit from our innovative and impactful programs.
Thank you for helping to build a world where children thrive and families heal.
