 Saturday, September 9, 2023

Tour d’Epicure is an intimate one-day cycling and epicurean adventure for the connoisseur of food, wine and cycling! Discover the scenic cycling routes, unmatched food and wine delights of the Niagara Peninsula. Every road is a joy to pedal, from the striking Niagara escarpment to the sun-kissed vineyard paths. We'll ride, eat and enjoy the beauty while visiting multiple different wineries. We will end the ride by enjoying music, celebrating our impact, drinking wine , and savoring all of the rich flavors that have made this area of the world famous.

Get ready to enjoy a day filled with many of the finer things in life... friends, wine, food, cycling and of course, an important cause.

We ride for Campfire Circle to bring healing through happiness to kids and families affected by childhood cancer or serious illness.

Through the passion of riders and generosity of donors, Tour d'Epicure has helped to fund a ropes course at Campfire Circle Rainbow Lake, supported the 'Body Shop' where Campers receive medical care while at camp and more.

And now, we have an important mission to raise funds to help enhance Campfire Circle Rainbow Lake's waterfront accessibility to ensure every Camper has the same experience.

OUR MISSION
Many of Campers arrive at Campfire Circle Rainbow Lake with mobility devices. Campers’ illness and treatment cause mobility challenges and limitations, which can be temporary or permanent.

The vast majority of programs at Campfire Circle Rainbow Lake take place outdoors and waterfront activities are crucial to the camp experience, including fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and sailing. However, Campers are experiencing accessibility barriers along the waterfront that limit their independence and require them to depend on parent/caregiver or volunteer support for participation.

We are on a mission to raise $50,000 to help build an accessible canoe/kayak dock with an E-Z Launch system that enables wheelchair users to move autonomously from a wheelchair into a canoe or kayak.

The canoe/kayak dock rebuild is a critical priority to enhance the waterfront accessibility at Campfire Circle Rainbow Lake. Tour d’Epicure riders’ support will have a lasting and important impact in the Camper experience.
